The President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, has inaugurated the General Hospital of Zone #3 of Aguascalientes of the “IMSS” (Mexican Institute of Social Security) built by SANJOSE in joint venture with Alvarga.

 

The new healthcare complex, which has involved a total investment of more than EUR 54 million, will provide service to more than 400,000 citizens of the States of Aguascalientes, Jalisco and Zacatecas.

 

President Peña Nieto stated in his speech that "Mexicans today have an innovative new Social Security and a guaranteed future, which will allow them to expand their infrastructure, their operational capacity and the quality of the service, as shown by the modern hospital unit that is delivered in Aguascalientes."

 

The hospital, with a total built surface of 27,000 sqm, has 144 beds, 36 specialties and state-of-the-art equipment to provide patients with the best service. In addition, the hospital houses an auditorium with capacity for 150 people and 526 parking spaces. All this in a plot of land of 34,000 sqm.

 

SANJOSE, an accomplished specialist in the execution of healthcare infrastructure with more than 70 large hospitals built all over the world, adds a new hospital in the American continent. Amongst others, the Delgado Private Hospital of Lima, Peru (65,438 sqm and 144 beds); Dr. Guillermo Rawson Hospital in San Juan, Argentina (52,000 sqm and 260 beds); and its experience in Chile, where it has been awarded in 2009 the design, construction and operation for 15 years (except health services) of the first two hospitals under concession regime in the country, both in the capital city: El Carmen Dr. Luis Valentín Ferrada Hospital of Maipú (70,646 sqm and 375 beds) and Dr. Eloísa Díaz Insunza Metropolitan Hospital of La Florida (71,987 sqm and 391 beds). In addition to the operation of these hospitals, it is currently building the Hospital of Ovalle (40,887 sqm and 340 beds) and the Carlos Cisternas Hospital of Calama (34,462 sqm and 206 beds).
