Grupo SANJOSE reports EBITDA of € 68.1 million in 2010

In an environment marked by market hardening, especially of the construction market, as well as a reduction of public calls for tenders, Grupo SANJOSE has reached during 2010 a turnover of € 852 million.

EBITDA amounted to € 68.1 million, only 4.2% lower than in 2009, thanks to the improvement of margins due to the reorganization of production capacity implemented by the company. The contribution to the profit margin of EBITDA for year 2010 rises by 8.0% in comparison to the 6.6% of the previous year.

Likewise, the improvement of margins is also remarkable regarding EBIT, providing EBIT of € 24.7 million in comparison to the €12.8 million recorded in 2009.

The construction sector, which represents 85% of the turnover of the Group, has increased EBITDA profit margin by 0.7%, amounting to €49.8 million.

At year end close, the portfolio of hired and under execution projects of Grupo SANJOSE amounted to €1,928 million, of which 40.8% correspond to contracts and projects abroad (historic high of the group). This means an increase of 10€ in comparison with 2009 and strengthens the Geographic Diversification Strategy implemented by the company a few years ago.

The adjusted GAV of the Group amounts to € 2,250 million, figure which does not include the participation in DUCH.
