SANJOSE will Provide Green Evaluation and Review Service for Madrid's Trees (SERVER)
11/02/2025
The Madrid City Council has awarded SANJOSE Constructora, in partnership with El Ejidillo Viveros Integrales, Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales, and Tecnigral, the Green Evaluation and Review Service for Madrid's trees (SERVER). This service focuses on inspecting, identifying, and addressing risks associated with a portion of the municipal tree maintenance infrastructure.
Madrid boasts an extensive green infrastructure with approximately 2 million trees under municipal ownership. Beyond the regular maintenance and inspection of green areas, this service also responds to emergencies involving hazardous trees, such as falling branches or trees, in coordination with CISEM (Madrid's Integrated Security and Emergency Center).
Data collection is a cornerstone of SERVER. The information gathered during planned inspections and emergency situations helps evaluate and analyze the current condition of Madrid's urban forest. This enables the detection of issues, assessment of tree failures, and the identification of behavioral patterns across various tree species in the city.
