The Victoria Building has been awarded the APROIN 2011 Award on the “Best Urban Restoration Works”

▪ The jury of the 18^th edition of the APROIN Award acknowledges the high quality of the building and the restoration efforts on preserving the essence of the former building.

▪ The Victoria Building, restored by SANJOSE Constructora, combines maximum comfort and top technology with respect for the initial architectural structure and its integration into a privileged environment within Vigo, the so-called Plaza de Compostela.

The Jury members of the 18^th edition of APROIN Awards (Association of Urban Developers of the province of Pontevedra) has considered the restoration of the three adjoining buildings (included within the Special Plan on Building Preservation and Conservation and subject to heritage protection) located at the streets of Carral, Victoria and García Olloqui, nearby the Plaza de Compostela, and the execution of the Victoria Building to be awarded the Best Urban Restoration Works of the year.

The APROIN 2011 Awards acknowledge the restoration effort of SANJOSE on achieving the restoration of the buildings located at an emblematic point of the city of Vigo and solving many technical and regulation difficulties.

The Victoria Building, totally integrated within the environment, includes all original façades and ornamental elements of the former three buildings and, while preserving the original design, has provided the best layout possible and all comforts to the new arising 31 housing units, 5 premises and 50 parking spaces.

With this award, the jury acknowledges the top quality standards of the urban development, all functional solutions applied, an intelligent use of materials, an impeccable execution and the incorporation of automation facilities, high technology and energy saving and easy access policies.

Likewise, the award acknowledges the respect of SANJOSE to the preservation of all original elements and to quality standards applied to both, original pieces and replicas of highly deteriorated pieces impossible to restore.
