Vincci Hotels opens a new 5 star hotel owned by Sanjose Real State in the city of Málaga

Vincci Hotels, as a hotel chain specialised in managing 4 and 5 star hotels in urban and vacation environments, has got already its second urban hotel situated directly in the city centre of Malaga: Hotel Vincci Selección Posada del Patio 5*. This building, which is going to be managed by the chain itself, belongs to Sanjose Real State.

It is because of Sanjose’s commitment with the city of Malaga that this project has been able to be developed with a total construction investment of 22 million Euros. Within this total amount it is remarkable the approximately amount of 400,000 Euros set aside for research, excavations (more than 90% of the surface), archaeological works and creation of added value for this hotel which has been from as early as the Roman and Arab times a place dedicated to hostelry.

Importance of the construction method statement

The hotel has been built in the location of two old former buildings. The first building was one of the last inns existing in Malaga and the other one an old housing building from which the façade dated on the 19^th century has been kept. It has been entirely rebuilt by keeping on one hand, the original court which provided the name to it and on the other hand, an old entrance hall being this one the way in from the Camas street.

Underneath both buildings some remains from the old Arab wall together with the remains of the old “Puerta del Río” have been found. This is the best well-preserved section of the Arab wall and the only one that can be visited on both sides and through which visitors can walk using the old patrol way of the city. Additionally to the remains of the wall, some other remains of an old tannery and some tools shown in the hotel have been found. Crossing the Arab wall some remains of an old wall from the Roman stage of the city have been also found.

The hotel has 103 rooms, 86 out of them are double bed rooms, 11 junior suites and 6 suites in order to turn the stay into a unique and unforgettable experience. In the same way it makes several services available to the clients so the stay at the hotel becomes more comfortable: room service, laundry service, pillow list, as well as shoe cleaning service and breakfast bar.
