The pavilion of the Spanish exhibition of Saragossa has awarded the Spanish Architecture Award 2009

The Pavilion of the Spanish exhibition of Saragossa, drawn by Patxi Mangado Beloqui et made by SANJOSE Constructora, received the Spanish Architecture Award 2009 awarded by the great Council of the Architecture High schools of Spain. This prize, which is awarded every 2 years, acknowledges the works and buildings reform, in which the architectonic unit has been kept, made in Spain by Spanish or foreign architects.

The prize, awarded in the Circle of the Fine arts of Madrid, was granted to a representative construction of the contemporary architecture, established by 750 pillars and some glass volumes in which are exposed the spaces of exhibition as well as a drawing marked by the evocation in the forest.

The work was rewarded between 77 candidates of a jury joined by the President of the Council, Mr. Charles Hernández Pezzi, and the General Assistant of Architecture of the Ministry of Housing, Mrs. Rita Lorite Becerra, among others. The jury estimated the relation between " the dialectic between a metaphor of the light of the wood and an innovative use of the ceramic materials, in combination with the constructive technology of the thermodynamics beauty ".

The Pavilion of Spain was a prize-winner with the other important prizes as this one of the architects' International Union (UIA) which granted  it by the Golden medal "Giancarlo Ius" to the most innovative project of architecture in the field of the energy savings and the technologies of renewable energies; and the Ferdinand García Mercadal, who awards to architects' College of Aragon the building the best built previous year in the community.
